About Us

Barrier1 Systems, Inc. (Barrier1) provides innovative vehicle barrier systems and security solutions, as a North Carolina Corporation located in the Piedmont Triad, High Point, North Carolina. Engineering, crash testing, R&D, fabrication, installation, and other services are provided in-house. Barrier1 is a wholesale provider of vehicle barrier products and security solutions.

Barrier1 Systems has provided products and services to Government and Commercial Customers throughout the US, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Korea, Northern Africa, and Canada. Its diverse vehicle barrier products and engineering expertise to meet site specific Customer needs in providing security solutions is key.

Barrier1 has a GSA Schedule allowing immediate procurement of its products and services by Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies. Government agencies procuring Barrier1's products and services using its GSA Schedule include US Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Department of State.

More than 26 vehicle crash tests have been performed Barrier1 Systems as part of the development of its products. Engineering data and other key performance information has been acquired from analyzing results of these crash tests, allowing Barrier1 to validate engineering and component data. Crash tests have been performed by 3rd party certified Government approved facilities. Crash test ratings obtained include K12, K8, K4, ASTM M50, ASTM M40, and ASTM M30.

Products include a net based reduced risk energy absorbing active vehicle barrier that can span 85 feet and deploy in 2 seconds; shallow mount pre-fabricated modular bollards only 12" deep; fixed & removable bollards; crash beam swing gate; electric drop arm gate; quick connect barrier; and other products. Barrier1 integrates camera systems, controls, card readers, panels, alarms, safety loops, traffic signals, PLCs, over speed & wrong way detection, and other devices as part of the security solution.
